A Resolution...

Why hello 2012, nice to meet you.  I'm Kyra Britton, and me and you are going to be great friends.  How do I know?  Well you see I have big, big plans for us.  Together we are going to do great things.  Things that we've always wanted to do but never found the time, or motivation, or focus. Together with my long lost pal hard work, and my casual acquaintance Mr. Determination we shall achieve great things.  OK maybe that's a little lame, but I'm telling ya, this year is my year.

Usually as January first looms around the corner I realize that most of my past resolutions went out the window a long long time ago... Well mostly I realize that I never even really started with any resolutions.  What REALLY happens is January 1st starts and i'm all 'gung ho' about doing everything I have my lil heart set on. Then the 1st passes and I think "oh its no big deal, its just one day... i'll start tomorrow" and then a couple weeks pass and I think to myself  "oh its no big deal, I still have 11 months left. I'll just start next month"  because of course you can't start anything in the middle of the month.  And then before you know it its December and I still have yet to start DOING anything! So I think "well theres always next year!"  So here we are - next year already...

This year is going to be different!  This year my resolution is to DO SOMETHING!  Something that I want to do every year... even if its just one thing.  Like get in shape, or keep record of memories, or go somewhere I've always wanted to go, or accomplish some kind of foot race - even if it's only a 5k!  I don't even care which one I do, I just want to actually DO something!  And hopefully this blog will help me do just that.  So 2012 It's me and you... together against the wicked world of resolutions! Bring it on!
